Do you want to add extra capacity to your current backup environment quickly and easily? Or is your goal off-site backups? So that in case of a calamity, you can start your disaster recovery faster. This is possible with daDup from Tuxis! daDup is S3-compatible storage, securely hosted in the Netherlands.

The "Scale-out Backup Repository" function has the option to push the backups directly to S3(compatible) storage. This offers possibilities for customers with a TCC or TCC-Edge to make backups without having them on SATA or NVMe flash.

Please refer to the Veeam manual.

If you already have a daDup account it will be added to your Veeam in no time.

First you need to link your storage under "Backup Repositories":
Choose Object storage, followed by S3 Compatible. Give your storage a name and click on next.
As service point enter nl.dadup.eu, region should not be blank but nl is fine. At credentials enter your Access key & Secret key.
Select your Bucket and create a Folder. Click on next and then Finish. Your S3 storage has been added.

To use your extra storage you need to create a Scale-out Backup Repository (SOBR). You can use this as storage for your backup jobs later.
The SOBR is a combination of local storage and remote storage, in which you indicate when the backups have to go to the S3 storage.
